The poem, "Often at a Distance", is like a verse by a young Boy, whose love left him and vanished somewhere, leaving him clueless about why she did so!
Often at a Distance
Like a petal detached from its flower,
I stand alone often, at a distance here.
Missing something unknown,
Restless, wrecked with nothing clear.
Like a beggar in a mall,
Like a student in exam hall,
Alone amidst all,
I’m waiting for her call.
Like a drop of oil in the sea,
Floating alone, thinking why to be.
Looking for anything she left for me,
I’m trying to set this mad mind free.
Standing alone often, at a distance to weep,
I curse myself for loving her so deep.
Wishing someone brings her back quick,
So that she returns to see how my last moments bleed.
