LIFE | English Poem

by Jagannath Singh
clouds in the sky,the sun up high
give me a reason to live one more day...
the chirping birds, red leaves gone dry
have taught me how to be happy and gay.

A new dawn breaks-

The morning sun, the shallow dew
together maketh shine-'the new grass born'
new ones we adore, pretend to ignore
the fact-'old ones are gone'!
forever...

the chirping birds merry this world their home
humming a full hearted song..
then someday
they fly along the song into the dark dome
the world is no more their's to belong!

the chirping birds sing the final song to life-

I was born for what and why?
Am i supposed to just live and die?
I named you 'My Life'! untill this mystery door
and you bid me off saying- 'I need you no more?'
'my life'!
now its visible
how it must be
I belonged to you
more than you belonged to me..!

clouds in the sky, the sun up high
are pity reasons to feel okay!
the truth is-
I keep breathing so when comes the day
the same wind I breathe would take my breath away!

Dear life-

Give me a reason to live one more day
tell me something you never say..
Am I anything? or just a toy you play?
Because-
How can I learn to be happy and gay
till upon my existence, this tragedy lay!
