Fifteen Seconds Of Fame | English Poem

Fifteen Seconds Of Fame
------
I lived in a world of agony and pain,
Hiding my tears in showers of rain.
Walking towards an unknown destination,
Craving to get a little recognition.
I was a loser and a sour one;
Hating everything that lived, loving none.
Luckless in love, the eternal virgin;
Found solace in fags, tonic and gin-
Until one day, the sun shone bright;
And turned my whole world right.
I found a way through the shitty maze,
Had myself right in every angel's gaze.
The day I became a reality TV star,
Was the day I became known every there and far;
I was the apple of every News channel's eye
And I was worshiped for every bitchin' lie.
I became the talk of the stupid town folk-
And the butt of every fucking joke.
They watched my every little move,
And danced to every one of my faggoty groove.
And then suddenly it was all over,
Like being ditched by an imaginary lover;
Bitches still danced, jerks still won;
The TV was still smoking like a gun.
But my fame was gone, my glory was lost;
The Devil was paid his dues, and dead was the poor Faust.
And is it's all said and done, I remain a virgin;
Waiting to die in a mess of vomit and shit, fags and gin.
